Dr. Peter Hill, along with the rest of the PetCare Staff, work hard to provide thorough, compassionate care for dogs, cats, birds and other exotic pets. Our mission is to provide all your pets with the most advanced and compassionate level of medical, dental and surgical care possible.

About Us
PetCare Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1986 in the Blue Ash area of Cincinnati. In order to provide advanced veterinary services to a greater number of concerned pet owners, Dr. Hill and his staff opened a new satellite location in the Loveland area in June 2008. Having practiced in Cincinnati for 30 years, Dr. Hill and his team of veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists have cared for dogs, cats, birds and exotic animals throughout the tri-state area. Along with his full-time schedule caring for dogs, cats, birds and exotics at PetCare Animal Hospital, Dr. Hill is a staff veterinarian at the Newport Aquarium where he treats a variety of exotic animal species.

  • J. Peter Hill, DVM

    Veterinarian / Owner
    Dr. J. Peter Hill has cared for pets as a general practitioner for more than two decades. It is his mission at PetCare Animal Hospital to provide high quality pet health care so that pets may live longer, happier and healthier lives. Dr. Hill’s goal is to provide clients with access to cutting-edge products and services and authoritative educational content that focuses on enhancing the bond between a client and his or her pet.

    Dr. Hill received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a Master’s degree in Dairy Science, with a focus on Reproductive Physiology, at Ohio State University. He continued his veterinary education at the University of the Philippines College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.

    Dr. Hill and his wife, Julie, are the proud parents of a daughter, Lily. Their family also includes three dogs, Lucy, Bella and Mia; three parrots named Gigi, Largo, and Toby; and a tank full of fish. When he’s not caring for animals at the hospital, Dr. Hill enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, and going on hikes.

  • Jean Gladis, DVM

    Dr. Gladis has been with PetCare since 2014, but has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years.  She has worked with both large and small animals, exotic pets, and wildlife.  She enjoys interacting with owners as much as her patients and educating them with proper medical husbandry and practices.
    Dr. Gladis spends most of her free time with her husband, Kurt, and their critters which include a lab (Woody), a dobe (Scarlet), a rescue lab mix (BeBe), two cats (Buell, the one eyed cat and Mew), and two adult bearded dragons (George and Spike). She is definitely the outdoorsy type, and enjoys kayaking, bird watching, biking, hiking and when the weather does not cooperate she likes to do woodworking projects and enjoys sketching and painting. Dr. Gladis has done lots of traveling and even lived in Australia for several years!

  • Lauren Brehob

    Business Director
    Lauren began her career at PetCare as a Veterinary Assistant in June 2010.  After years of hard-work and learning the business, she was promoted to Business Director in November 2014.  She still enjoys helping clients establish preventative care strategies to help their pets live a happy, healthy life but has really enjoyed working hands on with all of the reptile patients that come in.

    Prior to coming to PetCare, Lauren worked as an Operations Supervisor at the Newport Aquarium.  Outside of work she enjoys spending her time hiking, SCUBA diving, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Lauren and her husband are parents to a little girl, a Louisiana Catahoula pup, a cat and a menagerie of reptiles.

  • Kellie Acosta

    Veterinary Assistant
    Kellie started working at PetCare in September 2018.  She grew up in Cincinnati, but moved to Wichita, KS, to go to college.  She has degrees in Zoo Science and Field Biology. Kellie’s first job out of college was a zookeeper at Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita.  For 8 years she cared for birds, bats, and various small mammals.
    At PetCare, Kellie enjoys working with all of the different animals that come into the clinic.  When she isn’t working, she spends as much time with her family as she can.  Her family includes her husband, their daughter and one dog.

  • Kilee Davis

    Veterinary Assistant
    Kilee started working at Petcare in April 2020. She enjoys spending time and making a difference in the lives of animals that come to PetCare. She makes it her number one priority to look after each animal as it comes in, ensuring that they are comfortable and have a stress-free stay in the clinic. This makes it an incredibly rewarding job for her.
    Kilee grew up in Lebanon, Ohio where she made taking care of and showing horses her life. She enjoys volunteering at Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship. She also likes taking walks with her dogs and spending time outdoors. Kilee is involved with 4 Paws for Ability. She currently fosters her dog, Gypsy, as she helps train her to be a service dog. Kilee attends the University of Cincinnati for her last year of undergrad. She is majoring in chemistry and has hopes to further her education and passion in veterinary medicine.
